Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate (2-8 PQE) to join a growing Commercial Disputes & Insolvency team in Melbourne.Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will gain exposure to a broad mix of contentious and advisory matters, including:

• Corporate and personal insolvency matters
• Bankruptcy and liquidation disputes
• Restructuring and turnaround matters
• Enforcement and recovery proceedings
• Commercial and contractual disputes
• Shareholder and director disputes
• Insolvency-related investigations and claims
• Advocacy opportunities and court appearances

The practice offers a strong mix of both insolvency and broader commercial disputes work, making it an excellent opportunity for lawyers looking to deepen their technical expertise while maintaining variety in their practice.
What you'll need to succeed

• 2-8 years' post-admission experience
• Experience in insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy, commercial litigation or dispute resolution
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice
• The ability to manage matters effectively while working as part of a collaborative team
• A genuine interest in developing your career within disputes and insolvency
