Holden Litigation is a nontraditional defense firm, and that is what the industry needs now.
How are we “nontraditional?” The traditional defense firm plays defense and rarely takes the offense. Our firm plays offense and rarely takes the defense. The traditional defense firm finds it easiest to let the plaintiffs push the case at their own pace, merely reacting to the plaintiff’s moves. We call this “playing not to lose” instead of “playing to win.” At Holden Litigation, WE PLAY TO WIN.

We don’t avoid trial; we prepare for it…every day. Only attorneys who enjoy litigation and are naturally proactive need apply. A good litigation firm is not made up of only first chair trial lawyers. It takes a Team to deliver a quality product. Some partners want to prepare cases and appear as second chair at trial. Some partners want to focus on research and writing. A quality product starts at the receptionist and ends with the most Senior first chair trial lawyer.
The salary for eligible individuals is among the top 10% across the State of Texas.

Company History

Holden Litigation was founded by Steve Holden over 25 years ago to cater to corporations and carriers that need and appreciate quality litigation. Mr. Holden has over 200 jury trials behind him and Holden Litigation has many waiting to be tried. Holden Litigation is licensed in five states and has handled catastrophic litigation throughout the country. We are not built on the premise that we want to be the cheapest in state. Quite the opposite. We want to be known for our quality, and quality is not cheap.

Holden Litigation strives for a collaborative, collegial atmosphere. Litigation can truly be fun when you are on a Team that has everyone headed in the same direction. The people who do well at Holden Litigation are “Team Players.” They do not care who individually gets the credit. They just want to be a part of the process that makes a firm great. This firm is built on being proactive. We do not “paint by the numbers.” Masterpieces are not made “by the numbers.” Weak knees as a trial approaches is not a problem we have.

Representing clients like Sherwin-Williams in their high exposure cases around the country, as well as other Fortune 500 companies like Sherwin WIlliams.
