Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, a full-service law firm of more than 300 attorneys with 14 offices that are located across New York State, as well as in Boston, Kansas City, FL and NJ, is seeking Trust & Estate attorneys at multiple experience levels for positions across several office locations.
Offices Hiring:
- Rochester, NY: accepting applications at the Associate level (2-7 years of experience preferred)
- Buffalo, NY: accepting applications at the Senior Counsel or Member (Partner) level (8+ years of experience preferred)
- Naples, FL: accepting applications at the Senior Counsel or Member (Partner) level (8+ years of experience preferred)
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice in New York state;
- Applicants for the Naples, FL office should be admitted to practice in FL, or have the ability to become admitted within one year of hire for the Naples, FL Location
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school;
- An LLM in tax law or estate planning is helpful, but not required;
- Candidates will have experience practicing estate planning, representing high-net worth individuals and trusts with respect to estate, income, and gift tax planning matters, as well as trust and estate administration;
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and promptly respond to client’s needs;
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills;
- Committed to legal profession and teamwork approach;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Bond’s Trust and Estate attorneys are skilled at working with clients to identify their unique needs and create plans that meet those needs. Our customized plans include designing wills, trusts, beneficiary designations and other documents needed to transfer and protect assets. Bond also works with small business owners to design and implement business succession plans. Our clients range from individuals of modest wealth to those of significant wealth, from younger clients building a career to older clients who have already amassed their wealth, from clients who are professionals or employees of larger entities to those involved in family businesses. We strive for an ongoing relationship knowing that family needs change and estate plans evolve.
Extending our trust and estate practice areas beyond families, we also counsel fiduciaries, owners of closely held businesses, universities and other charitable and tax-exempt organizations. Our services in these areas include preparation of estate & income tax returns, accountings, preparation of a wide range of business agreements, and the formation and administration of charitable trusts and private foundations. We also assist clients in a wide range of court proceedings in all courts throughout New York and Florida.

The salary range at the Senior Counsel level for the Buffalo, NY office is $150,000 – $250,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. The salary range at the Associate level for the Rochester, NY office is $110,000 - $155,000. Actual compensation, and title, will depend upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, skill set, portable book of business and office location.
