Experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney
Thomas & Pearl, P.A. a well-established personal injury litigation firm serving South Florida for over 50 years is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to lead and manage a full litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution. This is a senior-level role with significant responsibility, autonomy, and leadership over the firm’s litigation department.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a seasoned trial lawyer with substantial experience handling complex personal injury matters, including jury trials, depositions, motion practice, and discovery in both Florida state courts and federal court. This attorney will play a key leadership role in shaping litigation strategy, mentoring associates, and driving cases toward favorable outcomes.
Responsibilities
Handle a full litigation caseload from case inception through trial or settlement
Draft and argue motions, responses, memoranda, and other pleadings in state and federal court
Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and trials
Manage and oversee all discovery matters, including strategy and compliance
Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and advise on settlement posture
Lead and manage the firm’s litigation department, including litigation staff
Collaborate with firm leadership on litigation processes, trial preparation, and case evaluation
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license and in good standing with The Florida Bar
Admitted to practice in Federal Court
Minimum of 6 years of personal injury litigation experience (trial experience required)
Strong drafting, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage high-value cases independently
Leadership experience and desire to run and grow a litigation department
