Description
Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
Transcribe dictation and provide overflow typing support
Draft standard correspondence and memoranda
Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and appointments
Open and maintain client files; conduct conflict checks
Perform court filings, including electronic filings
Screen phone calls and communicate with clients as needed
Process billing and distribute invoices
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Requirements
2+ years experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
Ability to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook required; PowerPoint preferred)
Experience with legal or document management software preferred
Strong typing and dictation transcription skills
Experience with state and federal court filings, including e-filing
Preferred experience in:Litigation
Probate
Employment Law
Immigration
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and shift tasks quickly
Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Bilingual/multilingual skills a plus
